HISTORY
Valley Crescent School was founded in 2001 as the first, and currently only school catering to students of the Muslim faith in central California. The goal of VCS is to encourage academic excellence while making them responsible members of society by teaching them moral values like honesty, respect, patience, kindness, gratitude, and forgiveness as encouraged by the Islamic faith.
VCS is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools - Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC), with the highest level of standards set forth by the committee. The school had humble beginnings in 2001, as a small building near Shield and West Avenues in Fresno, California. The school initially had 40 students across all 8 grades as a full-time school, however as it continued to expand in size and funding, a new larger location was required. Consequently, in 2005 the school was moved to its current location in Clovis, California. This past school year, VCS had its largest student population yet and is looking to expand its location and grades. Valley Crescent school is in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood of Clovis on a large 4-acre lot that includes basketball courts, soccer field, volleyball court, and playground.
